Margarets extended career has always focused on learning. Absorbing and creating has been her reward. After owning and operating Shear Design for over 40 years she now lives in Blakeslee. has three beautiful cats, gardens extensively, and focuses on balancing her semi-retirement. She continues to encourage her team “family” to embrace the same passion for our profession as she has. Her husband Bryan shares in creating and growing Shear Design Salon and Spa for many years.

Melissa has been part of the Shear Design team for over 25 years. She is highly educated in haircutting and coloring from Vidal Sassoon Academies in Toronto and New York. Specializing in short and medium-length creative cuts and natural coloring and highlights and natural permanent waving techniques.

Hair Stylist
Cheryl is highly educated in her craft, with extensive Sassoon training, Cheryl has been part of the Shear Design team for 20 years. She specializes in short and medium-length creative cuts and natural color and highlighting services.
Jenn
Hair Stylist
Jenn has been a stylist at Shear Design for 18 years and has 23 years of coloring and styling experience. She is trained and certified in multiple color systems and has traveled as an Educator for Paul Mitchell, Joico, and Profound. She enjoys using her knowledge to create exactly what her customers are envisioning, and loves to make strong connections with her clients. Jenn enjoys highlighting, balayage, and keratin treatments and is Vidal Sassoon trained in women’s and men’s cutting.

Rosella has been in the beauty industry for more than 20 years! Her love for the craft started early in her life. She continues her education every chance she gets which ensures the value of her services every single day! Her expertise and specialization are in precision haircuts and texture manipulation. Styling for formal events is also another of her strengths! She is Vidal Sassoon trained and holds certifications in various products.

Carolyn loves all things color…from natural dimension to colorful and creative. Carolyn is on her way to becoming our Wella Color Expert and helps us with all of our in-house color education by sharing her knowledge and expertise in formulation and placement. Besides color, she is an absolute genius at formal hair styling and makeup.

Tina is a previous salon owner with over 20 years of experience in the industry, Tina has a passion for formal hair styling & make-up artistry. As a celebrity stylist, Tina has traveled with and worked for numerous A-List celebrities and high-net-worth individuals across the country. Choosing to spend less time on the road, Tina relocated to NE Pennsylvania to focus on balancing salon work and home life with her family and small farm.

Amy brings over 20 years of experience to Shear Design. Being a previous salon owner and an educator, she has a lot to offer to your client experience. Her specialty is dimensional foiling along with short textured cuts. She enjoys all aspects of hairstyling. She looks forward to meeting her client’s needs with an open mind and a strong skill set.

Marissa is one of our new up-and-coming stylists who loves creating the newest trendy looks. She excels with dimensional highlighting and balayage, and teasylights. She has also recently completed education for both the Lasio smoothing treatment and the Arojo American wave. Marissa will be completing a week-long cutting class at the Sassoon Academy in Toronto this June.

Shannon comes to us with over 20 years of experience. She is a hair and lash extension stylist. Beaded base, sew in weft, and K-tip hair extensions. She also does men’s and women’s cuts and color as well as Brazilian waxing, body waxing and lash lift and tints.

Massage Therapist and Esthetician
Gigi has extensive knowledge of Swedish and Therapeutic massage techniques as well as over 200 hours in reflexology. She has a keen understanding of the connections between body , mind and spirit and tailors her service to each client’s individual needs.

She specializes in Deep Tissue and Therapeutic Massage. She utilizes Myofascial Release, Reiki, Reflexology, Stretching, Therapeutic Touch and other modalities in her work.
Her goal is to help her clients obtain and maintain maximum comfort, ease, health and well-being with and in their body, mind and spirit. She finds great amazement as to how this fantastic machine we call our body functions and the ability which it has to heal itself.
